Frequently asked questions

Invisalign

braces

My splint is broken, but my brace has been placed elsewhere. Can it be repaired at your premises?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer this service; the splint will be more likely to come loose. However, we do offer retainers for the night.

Can I make a no-obligation appointment to see if aligners are possible for me?

Aligner treatments are possible for 99% of our clients. Even if you are young(er) or old(er). To give a better idea of treatment duration and costs, you can visit us for a comprehensive initial consultation during which we also take scans, photos and X-rays. These are needed to draw up a personalised plan and provide an appropriate quote.

I have started braces treatment in another country (or another practice). Can my treatment continue with you?

There is a high probability that you will have to restart with us. After all, braces treatment is part of a personal plan drawn up by a practitioner, with a specific goal. Each practitioner is different, as they often graduated from different periods and universities. Treatment plans may therefore be different. Also, they may work elsewhere with different brands, than we do. All in all, important information is whether we can take over a treatment.

Will I get attachments on my teeth?

Yes, our computer will locate the teeth that need this extra support, the doctor will determine what number of attachments will give you the best results.

How often do I need to change my aligners?

Every other 14 days you are allowed to change your aligners, sometimes a bit more frequent.

Can I eat and drink with my aligners?

Drinking is fine, but make sure it is not too acidic and too colorful. Eating will be a bit hard with aligners, it takes less time to remove them and replace them after your meal.

What do you mean by making space between my teeth?

Sometimes there is too little space for the teeth to align properly, therefore we will use a thin sandpaper to polish a bit of the enamel between some teeth.
